Today, we're happy to share a positive update. We're working with the trusted physical publisher, Super Rare Games, to finally bring Chained Echoes to Nintendo Switch in both Standard and Deluxe physical editions.
Super Rare Games have a strong reputation for releasing exciting Nintendo Switch games, and with their reliable shipping and customer service support, we are confident that this time they are a trusted partner and there will be no issues on customers receiving their orders.
We know that many kickstarter backers of the game have been waiting for the physical editions they originally supported. To honour that commitment, eligible Kickstarter backers who pledged for a physical copy will receive the game at no additional cost. We will be contacting affected backers directly with further details on how this process will work.
While we're pleased to be able to support Kickstarter backers, we're unfortunately unable to assist with purchases made through First Press Games. Any enquiries relating to those orders will need to be directed to First Press Games directly.
This release will be available as a limited pre-order through Super Rare Games, with shipping currently expected to take place in September.

What is included in this Chained Echoes release with Super Rare Games?
This Nintendo Switch physical release of Chained Echoes includes the Ashes of Elrant DLC on cartridge. It will be available in both Standard and Deluxe Editions through a limited pre-order with Super Rare Games.

I'm a Kickstarter backer. What happens next?
Eligible Kickstarter backers who pledged for a physical copy during the campaign in 2019 will receive a copy of Chained Echoes on Switch. Unfortunately, a version for PC and Playstation 4 will not be produced. Backers who pledged for either the PC or Playstation 4 version can change to the Switch version for free or request a refund.
An email will be sent out on 11th June to all the backers with instructions on next steps and on how to obtain your copy.
I purchased Chained Echoes through First Press Games. What does this mean for me?
Unfortunately, any enquiries relating to First Press Games orders not received will need to be directed to First Press Games. Please contact them directly on this email - support@firstpressgames.com
Super Rare Games is not affiliated with First Press Games and cannot provide refunds, replacements, or compensation for purchases made through them.
How many games are they releasing?
This is a limited pre-order release through Super Rare Games. Typically they announce the release quantity when they announce a title, but given Chained Echoes’ history and due to our desire to ensure our backers receive their copies, they will release with an open pre-order and then finalise the release quantity once that closes. Likely to be 2-3 weeks after release, if not sooner.
When will my order ship?
Shipping confirmations are currently expected to begin in September.
Super Rare Games typically ships its games 2-3 months after release, and has regular updates on its store to confirm shipping dates.
Will there be a PlayStation or PC version through Super Rare Games?
At this time, Super Rare Games is only releasing Chained Echoes on Nintendo Switch. A PC and PS4 version will not be released.
